Simon Weston and ‘Nelson’

When Simon Weston asked if we could provide a Shire horse for the launch of his new childrens’ book featuring a Shire, we didn’t think twice.  Jim was re-christened for the day, and the whole team went to Hyde Park for the day.  As you can see from the pictures, Jim loves the camera.  And judging by the acres of coverage, Jim proved to be very popular, too.

Simon Weston very kindly donated some of the proceeds of the book to Operation Centaur.

He said: He said: “I fell off a horse when I was 12 and I swore I would never ride again, but he has been very gentle with me and it’s been a pleasure to take him for a stroll.”
